Rage on Xbox 360 Will Look Worse Than PS3, PC

According to Carmack, the royalty fees to include a third disc in the Xbox 360 version would be so high that it simply isn’t a feasible solution, with the programmer hoping for Microsoft to make a concession. He stressed that the issue has nothing to do with the Xbox 360 hardware itself, and is merely a storage problem.

A record 90m units of videogame hardware to be sold in ‘08

The industry is doing very well. How well? In a previous article, VGC noted that Wii, PS3 and 360 sales (not shipments) could reach 45m to 55m worldwide in 2008. That still looks true. But when you throw in DS, PSP, and PS2, the industry is even healthier. All told, at least 90m units of videogame hardware are going to be sold in 2008.

PS3 sales fall 50% this week as shortages hit America

With low supply of PS3 this week, PS3 sales dipped to under 30,000 units as Sony begins to work in its new sku. Xbox 360 sales dropped as well, though it appears Microsoft had more of its old model left in the retail channel this week with over double the sales of Sony’s machine.

A Wired 360 Controller in a DualShock 3 Shell

This mod is done with the PS3 board (original version) stripped of almost all of it’s parts and the controllers daughter board kept intact (mostly) and the CL board cut to about the size of the battery in a PS3 controller.

Logitech’s “premium” Guitar Hero: World Tour instruments

Logitech threw on its tightest jeans, blacked out its blond hair and threw up some horns. Details are admittedly scarce, but the company has promised to provide “premium instruments” for Guitar Hero: World Tour on PS2, PS3, Xbox 360 and the Wii. Rockers can expect the new gear to start shipping “later this year,” Price . . . who cares?

X360 games look better when developed on PS3’s then ported
